An angry mother told me that her elementary school did gay pride programs without giving her any notification nor option to pull her daughter out.
She wants control over her daughter’s exposure, and New York City’s Department of Education is not recognizing her rights as parent over gay teachings.
Parents should be notified of such classes, materials and events so parents could opt out.
