Per latest FY2020 report from the Deparment of Homeland Security, asylum seekers coming into New York City alone has averaged more than that per month since August 2022. Where did those arrive in New York go if about 10,000 were housed in Housing Emergency Response and Relief Centers (HERRC) as of February 2023? How does DHS enforce those 80%+ who don’t get approved? DACA 2.0? Their parents?
